Become what you want to be

Hello everyday, ordinary, unassuming guru seeking friends,

Guru spotting

… Here’s my everyday guru, Mr. White: My dog wags his tail every time she sees me. I think she is teaching me to wag my tail (smile) every time I see my friends. What do you think? Robin.

… I love that, Robin. Indeed, your dog is your everyday guru reminding you to bless all that you love about your friends, and you begin by giving them a big smile when you greet them.

Hi Rob,

I really liked your talk at Century 21 a few weeks ago. You mentioned the power of “being”, and that we cannot change our lives until we change who we are being. Could you elaborate on that a little more? How do I break through my $50K annual sales commission status without breaking through the old me?

Thank you, Jason

Hi Jason

You couldn’t think what you think, you couldn’t see what you see, you couldn’t say what you say, you couldn’t do what you do … if you were not being the “You” that you’re waking up to every day.

If you want to change, you have to change the “you” that you wake up to. That means you have to take the time to see yourself differently (see yourself as you’d love to be), and then begin acting as though that “you” were already so. How would that “you” think about your job? About your life? About you? How would that “you” act to support the new identity you were now considering? In other words, who, new, would you have to be?

You just cannot avoid it, Jason … nothing changes in your life until you change. You won’t make any more than $50K annually with your sales profession until you take the time to revamp the “you” that you consider yourself to be.

Does that help, Jason?  Blessings to you, Rob

Hey Folks

Have you started a “To-Be” list yet? What would you add to your “To-Be” list if you were to redesign yourself anew? More understanding? More flexible? More consistent? More Persistent? What qualities of character might you add?

Blessings & love to all of you, Rob

Ps.  The eyes you use to see the world are not the eyes you use to see yourself. Think about that.
